Launched in March 2003 TVIN links investors to companies with high growth potential seeking business development funds from £150,000 to £750,000. The Thames Valley is one of Europe's most successful regions and there is a strong and growing need for such an investment network from companies who wish to access funding and expertise and investors seeking high quality investment opportunities.

TVIN acts as a conduit for businesses raising funding by bringing together three groups of people; prospective investors seeking investment opportunities, companies seeking funding and support bodies and advisers including professional service firms. TVIN has successfully helped raise finance for 25 companies and a total of £4.6m.

Twenty-five TVIN companies have raised over £4.6m from the network since its launch.

TVIN selects investment opportunities from a range of sources, including: individual entrepreneurs; university spin-out companies seeking first and second round finance (from universities such as Reading and Brunel) and corporate venture companies spun out from major multinationals.

The Network offers access to a rich source of investment opportunities in early stage ventures within the Thames Valley. Investors can be introduced to like minded investors to form informal syndicate groups. TVIN also provides active investors who can add value to growing businesses and can help bring companies up to a high standard of presentation.
